Datacentre Information
All Total Webmaster servers are located in a secure and scalable datacentre in the UK available with an extensive range of options, from simple website hosting through to the more complex hosting of e-commerce sites with databases and on-line applications.
The datacentres are connected to a private IP broadband network stretching from North America to central Europe. Delivering performance, reliability and security, the network is engineered for low latency, low packet-loss and high availability and throughput.
With over 200 public and private peering arrangements with all the major Internet backbone providers, Dedicated or private connections between our network and the peering partner's network, you will benefit from packets to and from these networks reaching their end destination quickly and with minimal loss. As traffic is routed around congested public peering points, your web presence is guaranteed a connection with optimum throughput.
The datacentres are built to ensure resilience through the use of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) backed up by diesel generators with on and off-site fuel reserves. As the performance of both networking and server hardware can be seriously compromised by fluctuations in temperature and humidity levels, climate control systems continuously monitor and adjust temperature and humidity levels within the datacentre to ensure the most suitable environmental conditions are maintained for server stability. Gas-based fire suppression equipment and 24-hour-manned support and security provide the best physical environment for hosting.
